Associated with a cutting element, it allows protection against permanent overvoltages due to increases in network voltage and transient overvoltages (lightning strikes or switching) in three-phase installations.

Combined protection device against transient and permanent overvoltages to be associated by means of an emission (trip) coil to a cutting device (IGA) or molded case, in three-phase systems.

The operation of this protection module is to produce a disconnection signal to the main cut-off switch, automatic main switch (IGA) or molded case, when it is subjected to a voltage greater than that which it should receive, in a continuous manner and to derive to ground the transient overvoltages caused by lightning strikes or the switching of electrical distribution lines.

This device, very compact and simple to install, provides very high protection, both against transient or permanent overvoltages, as well as against line overvoltages, by incorporating an IGA (magnetothermic) with a breaking capacity of 10kA. It has a visual indicator of the cutting status.

The supply does not include the circuit breaker or the emission coil, only the surge protector.

Three-phase transient and permanent overvoltage installation

The thermal-magnetic switch and the emission (trigger) coil are not included in the supply, they must be ordered separately.
